HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!!

It’s our 6th year anniversary! And what an amazing 6 years they have been. From walking our first 4 elephants home in 2016, setting up a homestay program in a community that has very little means of making an income to provide for their families, starting and publishing our ground breaking research into elephant behaviour, providing countless English classes to the local schools and communities, welcoming 2 more elephants into our program so they no longer have to work, surviving the pandemic without our visitor program income stream, as well as stepping up to provide for over 60 elephants for two years throughout the crisis pandemic… what a rollercoaster it has been!

The last 2 years have been the most challenging as we continue to try and rebuild everything we lost to the pandemic, we are very thankful to have been able to receive some support from World Animal Protection which has been vital in our survival throughout the pandemic. Right now, we are only able to run our 2day and 3 days stay, which sadly hasn’t been enough to sustain us again full-time. We hope to fully reopen in the future, once we have enough staff back to run our programs.

Throughout it all, we couldn’t do what we do without you, our wonderful supporters, who lift us up when we need it most through your words of encouragement, and help us continue our work through your donations, fundraising, and sharing our posts. Working to provide ethical alternatives for both elephants and local communities isn’t an easy task, but through the ups and the downs, we continue to strive forward thanks to our hard working team and kind supporters.
