First Impressions – 19/02/20
February 19, 2020My Stay at KSES – 20/3/20

I booked an appointment to do weaving, it was my first time trying it. I was looking forward to seeing how Nee (the lady who teaches us the weaving) made the clothes I bought in Chang Mai and what they sell in the village.
We used these wooden sticks to wrap around the colours that we were using, I was using green and blue. When we finished making the length and width of the scarf we where making, then we changed over to another tool, the loom.
Then we started wrapping around the sting and making patterns, it was hard, so I am really impressed that they take their time to make such a beautiful piece of work. I had a lovely time trying weaving and its very relaxing.
Nee was a very good teacher and she did a good job showing me what to do because without her I wouldn’t be able to figure the method out.
I do recommend that you guys should try it out one of the days in the village, its hard work but its worth it in the end, Nee makes scarves, skirts, bags and shirts so a lot to choose from.
